Support

Evenground

If you need help now. Evenground is not an emergency service and nobody monitors this address around the clock. If you are in crisis, open Crisis Support in the app, which lists helplines you can call or text, or contact your local emergency number.

Getting in touch

Questions, problems, and suggestions can go to evengroundapp@gmail.com. Evenground is made by one person, so a reply may take a few days.

It helps to include your device and iOS version, and what you were doing when something went wrong.

Common questions

Where is my writing stored?

On your phone, and only there. Journal entries, mood check-ins, garden progress and settings never leave the device. That also means there is no backup: deleting the app deletes all of it, and it cannot be recovered, by you or by me.

I deleted the app and lost everything

Unfortunately that is the trade for keeping everything private and local. There is no copy on a server to restore from, because there is no server.

How do the themes unlock?

Light, Dark and Automatic are free and always will be. The four coloured themes unlock by watching two rewarded ads each, or all at once with a subscription. Progress is saved as you go, so an ad watched is never lost.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by the app. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds are also handled by Apple, through reportaproblem.apple.com.

Restoring a purchase on a new phone

Sign in to the same Apple Account and the subscription is recognised automatically. Your written content does not transfer, because it was never uploaded.

A crisis line is wrong or out of date

Please tell me. A wrong number is the most serious thing that can be wrong with this app, and it will be corrected as quickly as I can get an update out.

Privacy

What the app stores and what the ads collect is set out in the privacy policy.
